(Union Catalogue of Early Japanese Books; this website is part of the Kokubungaku kenkyū shiryōkan 国文学研究資料館 [National Institute of Japanese Literature]; it provides information on the manuscript holdings of Japanese institutions and on where one can find printed editions of those manuscripts and texts)

Kokuritsu kokkai toshokan sāchi 国立国会図書館サーチ
(This Japanese National Diet Library search engine was launched in 2012 and includes not only books and journal articles, but also digital materials and materials from public libraries, archives, museums, and research institutes.)

Kokubungaku ronbun mokuroku dētabēsu 国文学論文目録データベース
(The Database for Research Theses of Japanese Literature Studies in the Taishō, Shōwa, and Heisei Periods of the Kokubungaku kenkyū shiryōkan [National Institute of Japanese Literature]; a good place to search for journal articles in Japanese)

Tōkyō daigaku shiryō hensanjo 東京大学史料編纂所(The Historiographical Institute of the University of Tokyo)
